Celebrating international women’s day

We are very pleased to support women-owned businesses on the Mornington Peninsula. Meet some of the local women who contribute to the Alba experience.

Kate Bowman, Ceramicist and Co-owner of creative arts hub Stoker Studio

Kate’s work explores the relationship between bold geometric shapes and organic forms to create pieces with a mid-century feel. Using a combination of contrasting clays and inlay techniques, Kate’s modernist, patterned motifs are designed to provoke playfulness in everyday objects.

Kate’s ceramics are used in the spa lounge and can be purchased from the Alba boutique.

Dawn Allen, Founder, Peninsula WildFlower

Dawn Allen owns Peninsula WildFlower, a Boneo-based florist specialising in natural, hand-selected blooms for weddings, events and more. Dawn celebrates each individual bloom by hand selecting every flower from her own sustainable farm.

Peninsula WildFlower’s bouquets are featured in Alba’s reception and restaurant Thyme.

Louise Emblin, Founder, Peninsula Cold Press Juice Co

Louise founded Peninsula Cold Press Juice Co with the intention of bringing the best nutrition and vitality to the local community on the Mornington Peninsula and beyond. She believes that food has many benefits for health and wellbeing, which she is passionate about sharing through her work.

Peninsula Cold Press Juice Company is available in Alba’s restaurant Thyme.
