Media Release | Alba Unveils New Bathing Pools

MORNINGTON PENINSULA, October 2024 –

Enjoying steadily increasing visitor numbers since it opened in 2022, Alba Thermal Springs and Spa is delighted to announce the completion of a new bathing enclave – The Ridge. The Ridge is located on the easterly slope of property and encompasses three new geothermal pools, nestled within thoughtfully landscaped native gardens that weave around relaxing sun lounges, resort-style tables and chairs, and capacious umbrellas.  Opening later  this year, The Ridge will be available to all guests in the busy bathing periods during weekend and holidays.  Outside those times, The Ridge can be booked for groups.

Accommodating groups of 20 to 40 guests, The Ridge is a secluded venue for milestone birthdays and pre-wedding events, corporate retreats and rewards, team-building activities, product launches and promotions – and myriad other celebratory occasions.

Booking packages at The Ridge can include selections of food and drinks from Alba’s Thyme restaurant served poolside.  Thyme’s menu is created by well-known Melbourne chef, Karen Martini, and features modern mediterranean-style dishes that spotlight locally-sourced, seasonal produce. Naturally, special dietary requirements can be catered to.

Alba can also enhance The Ridge experience by offering group wellness sessions that focus on, for example, breathing and meditation, yoga, and Wayapa – an earth connection practice based on ancient Indigenous wisdom.  Weather permitting, the ultimate in pampering spa treatments and rituals will ensure that guests leave for home feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.

Alba’s original Terrace pools are also bookable in groups of three geothermal pools, accommodating  10 – 20 guests, or individual pools can be booked for groups of six. If an event includes 200 or more participants, all 22 pools can be booked for a truly memorable occasion.
