Media Release | Alba unveils The Sanctuary, a luxurious new retreat for wellness enthusiasts

MORNINGTON PENINSULA, VICTORIA, OCTOBER 2024: Management of Alba Thermal Springs and Spa is excited to announce the launch of The Sanctuary, — a new luxury accommodation option for Alba guests. The expansion into villa style accommodation enhances the premier wellness experience established by Alba, allowing guests to deepen their experience while in residence.

The Sanctuary accommodation features five exquisitely appointed stand-alone villas, along with two studio rooms. Each villa is thoughtfully designed to provide an intimate retreat, nestled within a tranquil screening of native bushland. Perched at the highpoint of the 15-hectare property, the villas boast sweeping views across the peninsula. The Sanctuary reflects Alba’s design and wellness ethos, with interiors crafted by local designer Kate Walker of KWD in Mt Martha, showcasing a soft palette of muted hues for a serene atmosphere.

In addition to stunning accommodations, each villa is furnished with premium amenities, including Aesop formulations for the hair, hand and body products. Guests can also enjoy a complimentary mini bar stocked with wines from Ten Minutes by Tractor, specialty brews from St Andrew’s Beach Brewery, and Illy coffee. To ensure a restful night, guests can select from the pillow menu and indulge in locally made snacks and treats. Breakfast can be taken in Thyme, located in the Alba spa complex or in-room with a showcase of local provisions.

“An on-site accommodation offering has been part of the development plan for Alba Thermal Springs and Spa from the very beginning,” said Alba’s General Manager, Craig Dodd. “With the success of our bathing, spa, and dining experiences, we are thrilled to welcome guests overnight and for weekend stays, especially from interstate and overseas visitors who many wish to explore the region for a number of days.”

Guests at The Sanctuary will have the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the wellness retreat while also exploring the best that the region has to offer—at their leisure.

Alba is a world-class thermal springs and day spa sanctuary set within beautifully landscaped grounds. It features contemporary bathing and spa experiences, including a variety of indoor, open-air, and outdoor thermal pools.  Further enriching the wellness experience Alba offers a menu of spa services designed to renew, repair, and recalibrate from Australian skincare brands Sodashi and Vanessa Megan.

Guests can also enjoy premium all-day dining at Thyme, with menus by renowned chef Karen Martini, located at the heart of the springs and spa complex.
